Warning! Random Musings Ahead
What do you get when a '80's rage with a '90's fad?
A somewhat successful 3D program.
This program combines Julia fractals with Single Image Random Dot Stereograms.
The program first draws a 2D Julia fractal, then it computes a
depth matrix for the fractal, and it draws a SIRDS plot of
the fractal.
The program works well except for small pixel clusters that
do not show depth very well.
I was hoping for a overhead mountain range effect, but
alas I got more a stair stepped effect.
You can lean more about SIRDS from
this paper.
